The khateeb taught from the story of the people tested on the Sabbath, some of whom kept advising others even when change seemed unlikely. Their example shows that our responsibility is to do what Allah asks, while guidance and results remain with Him. This lesson also applies to parenting: we should seek righteous children and ask Allah to guide them, without imagining that we control their hearts. Like the person told to plant a seed even when the Hour is near, we should keep doing good even when we cannot see the outcome. Everyone can choose one good deed to begin after Jumu'ah.

  1. What difficult experience has helped you remember Allah or change direction?
  2. What responsibility can you fulfill even when you cannot control the result?
  3. What good deed will you start this week?
