For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that Prophet Muhammad cared deeply for his ummah and will seek intercession for believers. Because he loved us, we should respond with love shown through obedience, prayer, good character, and following his guidance. The speaker used stories and narrations about the Prophet’s intercession, the care of earlier prophets, and Sultan Nuruddin Zangi’s determination to protect the Prophet’s resting place. We were encouraged to take Allah as our ultimate source of help while also using the means available to us. This week, we can review our prayers, Quran, remembrance, honesty, promises, temper, gaze, istighfar, time online, mosque visits, and one good deed to improve.

  1. What is one way we can show love for the Prophet through obedience this week?
  2. Which question from the self-accountability checklist should our family revisit together?
  3. How can we ask Allah for help while still taking the right practical steps?
