The khutbah reminded us that love for Rasulullah is at the heart of faith and grows when we learn who he was. The khateeb encouraged families to teach the seerah, virtues, and stories of the Prophet and his companions so that love comes before, or grows alongside, rules and details. He explained that real love is more than words: it appears in our character, choices, worship, and following of the Prophet’s example. Stories about Anas, Abu Bakr, Bilal, and other companions showed their deep love, loyalty, grief, and respect for Rasulullah. We can strengthen our own connection by learning about him, remembering him with love, and trying to live by his noble character.
