For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that Eid is a time to thank Allah for guiding us and helping us through Ramadan. He explained that fasting and prayer may feel difficult at first, but caring for our souls helps us grow to love worship. Our faith should also show in our behavior, including how we respect our neighbors and their property. He encouraged us to strengthen our family relationships and celebrate in ways that please Allah. He especially wanted children to experience the happiness of Eid and know that Islam has room for fun. As Ramadan ends, we can ask Allah to accept our worship and help us continue some of our good deeds.

  1. What is one thing from Ramadan you want to keep doing, and what would help you?
  2. How could we show kindness and respect to our neighbors this week?
  3. What Eid tradition would you love our family to start or keep?
