Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

This khutbah taught that Allah's love is sought through sincere obedience, extra acts of worship, and staying away from what He has forbidden. A beloved servant is content with what Allah gives, avoids chasing fame, and keeps some good deeds private. We were reminded to hold to the Quran and Sunnah, avoid rumors and wastefulness, and offer wise, sincere advice. The sermon also connected love of Allah with beautiful character: helping others, honoring guests and relatives, forgiving wrongs, and speaking kindly at home. Its closing encouragement was to care for our obligations, remember Allah often, and keep company with people who help us grow.
