Use what Allah gives to serve others

“We are required to worship Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala through other human beings by giving them from what Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has given us.”

The khateeb, at 12:33

In one sentence

Because Allah entrusts people with wealth, strength, status, and other resources as stewards, true worship requires using them to serve others with generosity, balance, and sound Sunnah rather than selfishness or invented rituals.

The khutbah in 6 steps

For the dinner table

Allah gives us many kinds of blessings, including money, strength, transportation, influence, and status. These blessings are trusts, so worship includes using them to help people, visit the sick, support those in need, and make good things easier for others. We should be generous without wasting and careful without becoming miserly. The Quranic stories warn us not to believe that our success belongs to us alone. The imam also reminded us to follow authentic Sunnah and not assign special rituals to dates without reliable evidence.

  1. What is one blessing you could use to help someone this week?
