For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that Allah gave us Prophet Muhammad as the best example to follow. When life becomes difficult, we can turn to the Prophet’s seerah for comfort, strength, and guidance. The Prophet endured deep sorrow, including the loss of his children, and he showed that crying is a natural expression of mercy. Even while grieving for his son Ibrahim, he served his community and clearly taught that the solar eclipse was a sign of Allah, not a response to anyone’s birth or death. The khutbah encouraged us to build a real connection with the Prophet and follow his example in every part of life.

  1. What story from the Prophet’s life helps you when something feels difficult?
  2. How can someone show both sadness and patience at the same time?
  3. When might telling the truth be difficult even though it is the right thing to do?
