Jesus was a prophet, not divine

Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us to keep Allah in our hearts and minds and put Him first in our choices. The khateeb explained that Muslims love and honor Isa, Jesus, as a great prophet who called people to worship Allah alone. He described Isa’s miraculous birth, his speaking as a baby, and his miracles as gifts made possible by Allah’s permission. He also highlighted our respect for Maryam, Isa’s mother, and Isa’s kindness toward her. As a family, we can learn from the prophets’ patience, share their stories to strengthen our faith, and practice kindness at home.

  1. What is one choice tomorrow where you could put Allah first?
  2. Which prophet’s story would you like us to read together, and what interests you about it?
  3. What is one thoughtful way you could show kindness to your mother or someone who cares for you this week?
