Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

The khateeb explained that righteousness brings together belief in Allah, a sincere heart, and good actions. Through Surah Baqarah’s verse 177, he reminded us to care for others, give even when we love our money, establish prayer, and fulfill our obligations. Keeping promises and remaining faithful to Allah through hardship are also part of living our faith. Religious symbols have value, but they should carry real honesty, patience, and care for people. As a family, we can help one another make what we believe visible in how we speak, share, and keep our commitments.

  1. What is something you value that you could share to help someone else?
  2. What is one way we can take better care of each other’s needs at home?
  3. How could remembering Allah change what you say when people start talking about someone behind their back?
