For the dinner table

Imam Kashif shared four qualities attributed to Sulayman that he described as treasures greater than wealth and power. They are being mindful of Allah in private and public, living moderately whether wealthy or poor, staying fair when angry or happy, and thanking Allah in ease and hardship. These qualities invite us to look at how we behave when no one is watching and how we treat others when our feelings are strong. He also reminded us to appreciate our blessings by using them for good and helping other people, with dua as the least we can offer those who are suffering. He closed by praying for a grieving family, acknowledging their lasting loss and asking Allah to grant them patience and ease.

  1. What is one good choice you can make even when nobody is watching?
  2. When you feel angry, what helps you treat the other person fairly?
  3. What blessing could we share with someone this week?
