For the dinner table

The khutbah teaches us about Sayyidina Uthman ibn Affan, a companion known for modesty, generosity, worship, and service. He responded quickly whenever the Muslim community needed help and supported projects whose benefits continued for generations. He also preserved peace during a dangerous siege and refused to let others fight and shed blood on his behalf. We are encouraged to study his life, serve generously, guard our character, and choose patience and peace when conflict arises.
