Faith should shape how we speak and act

“If you believe in Allah and the Day of Judgment, say good or be quiet.”

The khateeb, at 11:13

For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that Islam is learned and lived gradually, with love of Allah and belief in the Day of Judgment at the center. He encouraged families to teach children and new Muslims patiently, without overwhelming them. He connected faith to everyday behavior: speaking good or staying quiet, keeping family ties, welcoming guests, protecting neighbors, dressing modestly, and avoiding sinful gatherings. He also urged the community to keep educating others and participating responsibly in civic work for Gaza and Palestine. We should leave with one small, sincere step to practice this week.

  1. What is one kind thing you can do for a neighbor this week?
  2. When is it better to listen instead of joining gossip or a harmful joke?
  3. What is one good habit you can build gradually?
