For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us that Allah gives us many ways to do good, alongside prayer and other acts of worship. A cheerful attitude, help with groceries, a caring phone call, or a heartfelt dua can make a difference to someone. We are responsible for being sincere and making an effort, while leaving the results to Allah. When we cannot offer help, we can still do good by avoiding harm, gossip, and hurtful words. The khateeb encouraged us to become people others can count on, remembering that even a small kindness may help someone in ways we never see.
