For the dinner table

The khutbah reminds us that we do not need wealth or power to serve Allah and help people. Small acts, such as smiling, removing harm, checking on someone, forgiving, or helping with a burden, are valuable in Allah’s sight. We should not become frozen by the world’s huge problems or wait until we have more money before doing good. Instead, we should live as active believers who give our time, skills, energy, kindness, and resources. On the Day of Judgment, what will matter is the benefit and happiness we brought to others.

  1. What is one small good deed you could do for someone tomorrow?
  2. What gift besides money could you share with your family or community?
  3. How can we make our home feel happier when someone walks through the door?
