The khutbah reminds us that our greatest goal is success in the Akhirah and being with the Prophet in Jannah. We show love for Allah and the Prophet by following their guidance in our daily lives. A major part of the Sunnah is keeping hatred, deceit, jealousy, and resentment out of our hearts. Instead, we should make dua for others, forgive people, and wish them well. These choices bring us closer to Allah and help prepare us for Jannah.

  1. What is one Sunnah you could practice more carefully this week?
  2. How can we respond when someone else receives a blessing we want?
  3. Who might we need to forgive or make dua for?
