The khutbah taught that what matters most before Allah is not wealth, status, or achievements, but arriving with a sound heart. A sound heart is sincere in worship and free from envy, arrogance, hatred, and grudges. We can work on it by checking our intentions, asking forgiveness, forgiving others, practicing humility and gratitude, and remembering Allah often. The speaker also warned that prayer and charity do not excuse insulting, slandering, taking wealth unlawfully, or harming people. This week, our family can choose one heart disease to resist, one virtue to practice, and a daily time for remembrance.
