For the dinner table

Today's khutbah focused on loving Prophet Muhammad by learning about his beautiful character and sacrifices. The speaker explained that Rabi al-Awwal is associated with important events in the Prophet's life and used stories of Thumama ibn Athal and Ka'b ibn Zuhair to show his mercy, patience, and forgiveness. Thumama changed from hating Islam to loving it after seeing the Prophet's treatment and the life of the mosque. Ka'b came seeking forgiveness, and the Prophet welcomed him and gave him his cloak. We were encouraged to keep Allah first, examine our deeds each day, learn about the Prophet, and forgive others.
