For the dinner table

Allah wants us to keep trying to grow in taqwa and character, even though we will make mistakes. Taqwa means obeying Allah and staying away from what He has forbidden, while good character shows in a welcoming face, gentle words, patience, and kindness. The Prophet taught that people with the best character will be closest to him, and that our character is tested most honestly at home. Because good character is a gift from Allah, we should work at it, ask Allah for it, and practice it with our families and everyone we meet.
