For the dinner table

The khutbah reminded us to thank Allah for the gift of faith and for sending us the Prophet Muhammad. During Rabi al-Awwal, we can remember the Prophet by learning about his life and growing in love for him. Loving him means more than praise; it means following his sunnah and developing his qualities of mercy, forgiveness, care, and good character. We should overlook minor faults and check on family members and community members who may need support. The closer our character comes to the Prophet’s character, the closer we hope to be to him in the Hereafter.
