For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that Ramadan is a time to practice fairness and do as much good as we can. He told a story about the Prophet returning the Kaaba key to its keeper, showing the importance of justice even when we have power. He encouraged us to serve others and avoid blaming a whole religion for the wrongdoing of individuals. He described keeping our fast in private as an expression of love for Allah. He also urged us to keep making du'a and to love, care for, and respect one another across differences in color and background.

  1. What is one way you could be fair when you are the person in charge?
  2. Who could you help this week, and what could you do for them?
  3. What would you like our family to make du'a for together?
