For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that faith is shown through what we protect and practice. Prayer should be our strongest relationship with Allah, while serving others shows that our faith benefits the community. We should speak truthfully, keep trusts, accept sincere advice, show mercy, and treat people fairly. The khutbah also encouraged us to aim high in good deeds instead of settling for the minimum. We can set meaningful religious goals and help one another pursue them with kindness.
