Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

Today's khutbah taught that the art of living Islamically is ihsan: doing what is right with beauty, kindness, and excellence. Faith and worship should shape how we treat ourselves, our families, our neighbors, and everyone else. Because life is temporary, we should try to leave behind the memory of good character, like the Prophet Muhammad did. We can practice this by letting go of grudges, controlling anger, forgiving others, avoiding quarrels and bad manners, and seeking Allah's forgiveness. The khutbah also reminded us to care for and generously support our masjid.
