For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah taught that amanah means being trustworthy, honest, and faithful to every responsibility Allah gives us. That responsibility includes caring for the earth, representing Islam well in daily behavior, worshipping Allah, learning Quran, and following Sunnah. At work and in business, we should protect other people’s trust even when honesty costs us money or convenience. As a family, we can choose one small act of amanah this week, such as recycling, using work time properly, telling the truth, or studying a new surah.

  1. Where did you practice amanah today, even in a small way?
  2. How can our family care for Allah’s earth this week?
  3. What would honesty look like when telling a friend, teacher, or coach the truth?
