Quotes
In the khateeb's words
“Always stand with the haq. Always be with the haq. Always say the haq.”
“This is the deen. And so the deen, Ya Ikhwah, It teaches us That when the maslaha is in the community, When the maslaha is in the ummah, We put the ummah first.”
“None of you have complete iman Until you love for your brother What you love for yourself. Until you leave off this al-anani. Being selfish.”
Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
The khateeb reminded us that society often encourages selfishness and constant focus on what we want. He taught that our real purpose is to worship Allah and not become prisoners of our desires. Islam asks us to stand for justice even when the truth is difficult for us or our families. We should care about the welfare of the wider Muslim community, not only our own benefit. Complete faith includes loving for our fellow Muslims what we love for ourselves.

- When is it hard to tell the truth to someone you love?
