For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah showed us how much we can learn from one small ant in the story of Prophet Sulaiman. The ant warned the others because she cared about their safety, reminding us to show kindness beyond our own family and friends. She took responsibility and offered a helpful action, teaching us to contribute instead of waiting for someone else or spreading negativity. The khateeb also reminded us to give thoughtful advice, explain our reasons, and ask someone more knowledgeable when we do not know. By saying that any harm would happen unknowingly, the ant taught us to think well of others and give them the benefit of the doubt.
