For the dinner table

The Days of Tashreeq are a time to remember Allah, be thankful, eat and drink, and honor the sacrifice of Eid al-Adha. The khateeb encouraged us to keep our tongues busy with dhikr, share food with people in need, greet others with peace, and reconnect with relatives. He also recommended praying two rak'ahs at night with family when possible. Eid should change our hearts too: we should repent sincerely, leave our sins, and replace resentment and pride with purity. Finally, he reminded us to hold firmly to the Quran and the Prophet's Sunnah while praying for healing, guidance, and relief for suffering Muslims.

  1. Who could we greet or reconnect with this week?
  2. How could our family share Eid food with someone who has less?
