For the dinner table

The khateeb told the story of Julaibib and his wife, who valued faith and shared principles beyond appearance or social standing. He described how the Prophet noticed and honored Julaibib when others overlooked him, reminding us to care for people who may feel forgotten. He also described the couple as being on the same team, with a shared purpose. Using sports as an example, he encouraged us to put serious effort into seeking Jannah, just as athletes work toward winning. Even when we have missed opportunities, we can still turn toward Allah and do good, because a small act of kindness may matter more than we realize.

  1. Who might feel left out at school or in our community, and how could we include them?
  2. What would being on the same team look like the next time our family disagrees?
  3. What small act of kindness could be your 'Jannah play' this week?
