Serve Allah with whatever you can

The khateeb, at 12:29

For the dinner table

The khateeb told us about the expedition to Tabuk, when the companions faced heat, a long journey, and shortages of food, water, and camels. Their sacrifices remind us to thank Allah for our blessings and use what we have to help others. Some companions gave great wealth, while others gave only a little or felt deep sadness because they could not join. The message for our family is that sincere effort matters: we can offer money, time, skills, kindness, and dua, and encourage others who are doing good. He also reminded us to prepare for Ramadan during Sha'ban through fasting and other good deeds, starting with what we can manage.

  1. What is something you could share this week, even if you only have a little?
  2. How could you encourage someone whose help gets overlooked?
  3. What small good deed could our family practice together before Ramadan?
