Give generously with what Allah provides

“What you give for the sake of Allah is your saving.”

The khateeb, at 31:18

Believers should treat all resources as Allah’s trust and spend them generously, sincerely, and moderately for His sake, because charity purifies, protects, and stores reward for the Hereafter.

For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah taught that faith is shown through good deeds, especially infaq, or spending for Allah’s sake. Spending is not limited to money: we can give time, knowledge, strength, food, help, and care. We should be generous in both easy and difficult times, while remaining balanced and meeting our family’s needs. Our charity should be sincere and come from good things we value, because what we give for Allah is what truly remains. The khateeb encouraged us to start giving now, support the masjid and people in need, and not wait until the end of life.
