For the dinner table

The khutbah continued its discussion of belief in the angels, one of the six pillars of iman. The khateeb reminded us that angels pray for people who worship Allah, teach goodness, remember Him, give generously, visit others sincerely, and pray for people in their absence. He also warned against actions that bring serious spiritual consequences, including abandoning faith, disrespecting the Prophet’s companions, dishonesty about one’s family, stinginess, and frightening others. He encouraged us to ask Allah every day to keep our hearts firm in the religion. The message invites our family to seek the prayers of the angels through faith, generosity, kindness, and care for other people’s safety.
