For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah taught that Allah’s friends are people whose love, trust, and hopes are centered on Allah. They make others remember Allah through their kindness, humility, and good character. When they face problems, they turn to Allah in prayer while accepting help from good people Allah sends. The sermon also reminded us to follow Allah’s guidance in how we speak, especially by avoiding gossip, backbiting, cursing, and insults. We can begin by strengthening good friendships, praying when worried, and carefully choosing our words.

  1. How can a friend help you remember Allah?
  2. What does trusting Allah look like when something worries you?
  3. What kind of words make a home more peaceful?
