For the dinner table

The khutbah reminds us that the Prophet Muhammad cared deeply about Salah and the mosque, but he also cared deeply about people’s hearts. When he heard a baby crying, he shortened the prayer so the mother would not be burdened. He welcomed children and responded gently when people made mistakes out of ignorance. We should correct others with wisdom, control our anger, and avoid pushing people away from the mosque. A mess can be cleaned, but a hurt heart may be difficult to bring back.
