For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that Muslims love Isa, Jesus, peace be upon him, and can show kindness to Christian neighbors while holding firmly to their faith. He reflected on Isa’s miraculous birth to Maryam and his words about serving Allah and being a blessing wherever he was. Our love for the prophets should show in our daily prayers, giving to those in need, and bringing goodness to others. He especially encouraged us to treat our parents with patience and gentleness, including in our words and facial expressions. Even when we disagree with them, we can speak humbly and ask Allah to show them mercy.
