For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that true wealth includes a heart that is content with what Allah has given us. The khateeb explained that trusting Allah also means accepting what He does not give us, even when we cannot understand the wisdom behind it. He warned that greed and looking at what others have can leave us restless, however much we own. He encouraged us to appreciate health and enough to sustain us, and to ask Allah for what we hope for and for patience when things turn out differently. He closed by encouraging us to let our contentment bring peace and happiness to the people around us.
