Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

The khutbah asked us to think about what it really means to love Prophet Muhammad. Real love is not only emotion, posts, or special events; it shows in choosing his sunnah when it conflicts with our desires and in serving people at home. We were encouraged to learn and practice small duas and sunnahs, pray the five prayers, shape our day around worship, and help with household chores. We were also urged to study the Prophet's life, beginning with a seerah book such as The Sealed Nectar. The goal is to let love become steady action so that Allah is pleased with us.

  1. What is one sunnah you would like our family to practice more consistently?
  2. How can we help each other more at home this week?
  3. What part of the Prophet's life would you like to learn about first?
