Put faith before fear of poverty

“We don't compromise the deen for the dunya, no matter what.”

The khateeb, at 25:12

For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that Allah is our provider and warned that fear of losing money can push us to neglect prayer or compromise our faith. Working hard matters, but we should remember that our provision comes from Allah. Having more or less can each be a test of how we respond, with gratitude, patience, and obedience. He encouraged us to seek Allah’s forgiveness and to value the lasting life of the Hereafter. As a family, we can practice these reminders by making time for salah, thanking Allah for what we have, and supporting one another in putting faith first.
