For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us that everything we have comes from Allah and encouraged us to use it to help others. The khateeb described giving as an investment with Allah, especially when it builds the masjid, strengthens the community, and supports its people. His story about a companion giving a few dates reminded us that a small gift can have great value. He also encouraged trust in Allah, prayer, good character, and giving while we have the opportunity. At the end, we heard that Allah's words nourish our souls and that all the community's children are our shared responsibility. The appeal to support a multipurpose center invited us to invest in their future together.
