Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

The khateeb taught that many personal and community problems grow when people neglect akhlaq, or good character. He focused on Imam al-Sadiq's advice: choose companions carefully, guard your speech, and avoid settings that can damage your faith or reputation. He also warned against jealousy, enjoying another person's hardship, and carrying words from one person to another. Instead, he urged gratitude for Allah's provision, mercy toward people who have hurt us, and actions that support family and community worship. We can live this by choosing good company, pausing before speaking, refusing gossip, and making time for Jumu'ah and Quran.
