Good character matters more than appearance

The khateeb, at 15:05

For the dinner table

The khutbah reminded us that Allah cares about our hearts and character, not only our appearance, money, or strength. Looking neat and taking care of ourselves matters, but it should go together with controlling anger, speaking carefully, avoiding greed and improper looking, and treating people well. We can turn our strength and wealth into good deeds by serving family, volunteering, helping people in need, and giving generously. The goal is to meet Allah with a pure heart and a life filled with beneficial actions.
