For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah taught that patience means seeing possibility inside a painful moment, not simply waiting passively. The Prophet’s response to Abu Mahdhurah’s mockery showed how mercy, teaching, and personal care can open a heart. As Muslims face Islamophobia, war, and discouraging news, we are asked to focus on our own character, forgive when we can, and connect with people who feel distant from us. Our invitation to Islam should be lived through authentic kindness, not just words or public image. By loving people and answering harm with what is better, we can remain hopeful and seek Allah’s opening.

  1. How can we respond when someone says or does something unfair to us?
  2. What does it mean to show people Islam through our character?
