Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that Allah alone knows what is inside people’s hearts and judges them. We should be careful not to judge others, and instead look honestly at our own intentions and deeds. The speaker warned that even learning, reciting Quran, or serving Islam can lose its reward when done for people’s praise. At home, we can protect our hearts by choosing sincerity, avoiding backbiting and rumor-spreading, and asking Allah to purify us.
