For the dinner table

The khutbah teaches that poverty is not the only danger; wealth can also test us when competition and attachment take over. The speaker points to Qarun and the man with two gardens as warnings, and to Uthman and Abdurrahman ibn Awf as examples of generous, purposeful wealth. He asks us to study these examples and consider how our own money can serve good rather than harm us. He also reminds us to pray for lasting peace and freedom for Gaza and to support people in our community who are grieving.

  1. How can money become a test in our lives?
  2. Which example from the khutbah would you most like to study, and why?
