For the dinner table

Eid is a joyful gift from God and a chance to be grateful for what Ramadan taught us. But our joy should not make us forget people who are suffering, grieving, displaced, or facing injustice. At the same time, we should not let sorrow make us hopeless, because faith teaches us to trust in God’s mercy. We can carry others in our prayers, give charity, stay aware, and stand for truth and justice. Ramadan has truly changed us when it makes us more compassionate toward all of God’s creation.
