For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us that giving for Allah includes our money, time, effort, and skills. Ramadan is a special opportunity to practice generosity and seek Allah's pleasure. The khateeb compared sincere giving from lawful earnings to planting a seed that grows into a much larger harvest. He explained that Allah's reward may come through blessings in what remains, something better in this life, or reward in the hereafter. He encouraged us to face our stinginess, trust Allah as our provider, and give while we have the opportunity.
