The Prophets & seerahFrom the masjid's own video, Sep 6, 2025.
Prophet Muhammad is our greatest blessing
“You consider you are valuable because of your brothers, not because of yourself.”

- Explains loving the Prophet and sending blessings upon him, including the hadith of Ubayy ibn Ka'b.
- Presents Quran and Sunnah, the Prophet’s leadership, and sincere companions as the foundations of practical religious change.
- Draws lessons from the Prophet’s life: consultation, rejecting factionalism, forgiving faithful servants after mistakes, and correcting superstition.

Quotes
In the khateeb's words
“for any idea to be practical and successful in the life, we need three, three basics. If we don't have any one of them, this idea will stay just idea. It's not practical action.”
“You consider you are valuable because of your brothers, not because of yourself. The brothers, they need you and you need them. We need each other.”
Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
The khateeb reminded us that Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, is a blessing from Allah and our example for daily life. Loving him includes sending blessings upon him and putting his teachings into practice, including kindness to our parents. He taught us to consult one another and to remember that we need each other, whatever our backgrounds. The khutbah also encouraged us to remember people’s good service when they make mistakes and give them a chance to return to doing good. It ended with a reminder to hold on to hope in Allah even during difficult times.
- What is one kind thing you could do for your parents this week?
- What family decision would you like us to discuss together, and why?
- How could you help someone feel included when they come from a different background?
