How to seek Allah’s shade
“The masjid is supposed to be a place of serenity, a place of Allah, not our ego, not our nafs.”
The seven people promised Allah’s shade on the Day of Judgment are not an abstract ideal; Muslims should cultivate their qualities through justice, worship, sincere relationships, resisting temptation, hidden charity, and private remembrance.

In the khateeb's words
“We can't just make dua and pray that we're going to be of those seven who are shade under Allah's throne. We have to follow up with actions, my dear brothers and sisters.”
“The masjid is supposed to be a place of serenity, a place of Allah , not our ego, not our nafs.”
“So let us be like people who are selfless and secret in our charity.”
“that when we see the sins that we do, it should be bringing us closer to Him and should be watering and tearing up our eyes.”
For the dinner table
The khutbah teaches that Allah’s promised shade on the Day of Judgment is connected to qualities we can practice now. We should be fair with anyone under our care, make worship a priority, and help our children grow by seeing us worship too. We should keep a sincere connection to the masjid and love people for Allah’s sake, not only when they benefit us. We should resist temptation on our screens, give charity quietly, and remember Allah privately with soft hearts. The sermon ends by encouraging families to support Saturday school and Maktab so children can grow close to Allah.
